Listing a home comprises many details. As a real estate agent, your expertise is vastly needed to help your client get the best price for their home in the shortest amount of time. Your open houses will be a success every time by using my guide The Open-House Checklist. Here are some things to consider: Curb Appeal — One of the main goals of an open house is to get people to stop and view the house. If there are weeds or trash on the property, or if the house numbers are not visible, a prospective buyer will not even stop. You can't afford to turn away even one potential customer! Out of Sight — Another goal of an open house is to make the home neutral so that prospective buyers can see themselves in it. If there are too many items around or too much furniture, the buyer's attention will be diverted from the home's architecture. Less is More! Enough Storage Space — Prospective buyers are looking for square footage! If your clients are selling their home in the summer, have them pack away all the winter clothes and store them in a place other than their closet. Not only does this create more space, but it's one less thing that your client needs to pack when their house is sold. |
